So DAM found and posted the
following video on YouTube to F650.com...
Chicken Fried Bacon! And only 100 miles from the house to Snook
Texas? Of course we had to go check it out...
Vegas put the ride together, and today was the day.
We met at our favorite meeting spot...
... McDonalds.
In attendance were GeorgiaPeach,
Euromedic, Vegas, Thor, Antonio (a 1200GS-kinda guy), and me.
And as usual, Thor looked his best at 0800...
Vegas plotted out some great back roads. A couple of hours later, we
arrived in Snook, TX at the home of the Chicken Fried Bacon...
Brewer was waiting for us and had already ordered a plate of chicken
fried bacon...
Make sure you note the grease on the left side of the plate...
Didn't take us long to dig in...
I'm not sure how to describe it. It was pretty good. And healthy
too!
Georgia seemed to like it!
So while the motorcycles waited outside in the cold (about 39
degrees)...
... we stayed inside and enjoyed a little lunch...
From left to right, Georgia, Me, Vegas, Brew, Thor, Euromedic, and
Antonio.
So after a chicken fried steak for some...
And a "small steak" for others...
We ventured back out into the cold and parted ways...
Georgia, Antonio and I headed back to Houston, Brewer back to
Austin, and the rest of the folks continued on a more scenic route.
