| Chris, AKA JetGorilla over on F650.com,
purchased a new Dakar the other day in San Antonio. I went with
him to get it, and since he is flying all week, he left it here with me
at the farm. Well, it was just sitting there, so I figured I should run some
fluids through it...

Out of the garage and we're off... (... pretty itn't
it?)

The first stop was what was left of an old farm house...

Then on to an old cemetery...

There's a lot of dirt roads around here... nice to ride... nice
scenery...
Then I had to potty...

I figured while I was out, I would try to get a shot for Foto
Assignment #10, but this was all I could find...

But, with a little FireWorks, I was able to turn it into
this...

Continuing on...
Then the low battery light on the camera came on... and then gas
light on the motorcycle came on, so I took it, me and the camera back to
the farm...
This scoot is an '05, and I am really impressed with the power
difference between a single spark and a dual spark version.
There's noticeably more power from the dual spark motor. It's as
strong stock as mine is with the Two Bros exhaust. Lots of power,
super easy to wheelie...
It's still tall--too tall for me. I mean, I can ride it with no
problem, but I cannot touch at all unless I hang off one cheek...
Aside from that, it needs better wind protection. That Dakar
screen is crap and is pretty much useless.
Overall, it's a very well-running motorcycle... excellent purchase
