I got an email from John who is in the Houston Land Rover Club too. Turns out, he bought an F650 yesterday...
... since me and the boys (DAM, Brewer, Thumper and me) were going to do a little riding today, I invited John to join us.

The plan was to meet at the McDonalds in Elgin at 0730. It's about two hours from Houston, but sure enough, John turned up... as did the rest of the boys...

After a little breakfast, we took off. I spotted this fella... (he was even bigger in person)...

We rode lots of nice gravel farm roads similar to this one...

We even found a pretty spot in the middle of this beautiful field to snap a picture...

As you can see in the background of this picture, the sky got really ugly; I thought for sure we were going to get drenched, but we were able to avoid it somehow and managed to stay dry...

We road through Bastrop State Park which is always a pretty ride...

After lunch we all plotted routes home. Brewer and Thumper to Austin, DAM to San Antonio, and me and John back to Houston.

John and I split off about 40 miles out side of Houston because we live in different areas, so I decided to stop and take a nap under a tree after all of that riding and all of that food...

I even had a little company...

When I finally arrive home, I got a call from my buddy Erik... Erik got himself a new scooter and wanted to go for a ride...
