Sadly,
Day 12 was the beginning of the end of the trip.
My bike was packed and ready to go. After a less than
memorable breakfast, we said our goodbyes to the group and began the
last day of our travels on Mexican soil.
Aside from a stop at a local taco stand and a little scenery, there
was very little to report...

Well, there was a donkey standing in the middle of the road around
one blind corner, but at this point in the trip, I had almost come
to expect it. There was also another stray dog who talked me
out of a taco, but that about sums up the excitement.
We reached the Ojinaga sometime in the afternoon and were quite
happy when there was absolutely no line at all. As the lady
carefully compared my VIN to the one on the paper, she gave me my
receipt and bid us farewell. We also had to stop at
immigration on both the Mexican and American side, but there was
nothing to it.
The tail wind that pushed us east for the next several hundred miles
was fantastic, though at times it did whip my neck around as the
curves would put a portion of the wind perpendicular to the bike's
path.
We stopped for dinner at a BBQ place, and eventually we ended up at
a Best Western in Ozona, TX for the night.
Mileage = 589.
Day 13... interstates suck!
After devouring the continental breakfast, we continued to press
onward east on I-10. We only had 400 miles this day, so at
least we would arrive home at a decent hour.
Boredom set in pretty fast, so I found things to do to keep me
entertained...

I pulled up to an opening garage door around 1400, and my face lit
up when I saw my family come running out to see me...

I was glad to be home!
Mileage: 399.

I hope you enjoyed the report as much as I enjoyed writing it.
The end. (except if you want to read the Repair
Report.)
